Plants’ sexual reproduction is a crucial process of many plant species as well as in agriculture production and breeding. Early stages (flower induction and flower development) of this multi-step process depends on numerous interactions of the plant with its surrounding and at later stages (pollination and fertilization) of different cell types within the plant. Our research focuses on different aspects of plant sexual reproduction including control of flowering time, the effect of temperature on flower quality as well as the interaction of seed-borne viruses with reproductive organs and gametophytes.
